1Who we are
WeddingGallery.lk is Sri Lanka's wedding marketplace, operated from Colombo. This policy explains what we collect and why, in plain language. It applies to the English, Sinhala and Tamil versions of the site, which carry the same meaning.
2What we collect
Account details such as your name, email address and phone number (when you sign in by phone). Your couple profile: wedding date, district and budget, used to prefill enquiry forms. Enquiry messages you send to vendors. Reviews, ratings and photos you publish. Basic usage data such as pages visited, device type and language, used to keep the site fast and relevant.
3How we use your data
To connect you with the vendors you contact, prefill your enquiries, show vendors near you, moderate reviews, send service messages such as enquiry replies and one-time codes, and improve the product. We never sell personal data, and we never show your details to vendors you have not contacted.
4What vendors see
When you send a written enquiry, the vendor receives your name, message, wedding date and budget. Your phone number is shared only when you tap to call, open WhatsApp, or include it in your message.
5Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies keep you signed in and remember your language and dark mode choice. Analytics cookies are anonymised and optional; you can decline them from the cookie banner or your settings.
6Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account from settings, or write to privacy@weddinggallery.app. Enquiry threads are removed within 30 days of deletion, except records we must keep under Sri Lankan law.
7Your rights
You may access, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time under the Personal Data Protection Act of Sri Lanka. Write to privacy@weddinggallery.app and we will respond within 14 days.
8Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here and notify signed-in users of material changes. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated policy.
